We’re up to 3 rounds for our mock drafts!
This gives us a little deeper look at what the Packers might do.
For this one, we finally broke down and picked a 1st round wide receiver.
This is not something the Packers typically do, but after last season didn’t go as planned, they may change some of their plans.
Here are the results:

Round 1
Quentin Johnson – Wide Receiver
Profile: Fast and lanky, the 6’4 210 Johnson accelerates through cushions with him. He has great burst and incredible short area quickness for his size. He cuts on a dime like players a half foot shorter. He has a tendency to play upright, but his leverage makes is tough to beat him with press techniques. He’s a top 10 talent with questionable hands that could drop him down boards.
Analysis: What’s better than Christian Watson? Two Christian Watsons! Quentin Johnson’s size speed profile, coupled with shaky hands, puts him right in line with the Packers sophomore. If the want to bolster their passing weapons, Johnson might be the most talented prospect they can expect to see.

Round 2
Antonio Johnson – Safety
Profile: Long and lanky at 6’3 195, Johnson is a physical safety with the versatility to play deep, in the box, or in the slot. Hi 4.52 speed isn’t elite, but it’s pretty good for a slow class, and shouldn’t hinder his ability to play at the next level. A quick processor, he can play faster than he times, plus he has a natural feel for zone coverage. His man technique is a little stiff, but he’s a great tackler who keeps his balance and drives through ballcarrier.
Analysis: Adrian Amos’s future is up in the air. A versatile guy like Johnson could step into his role or play as a nickel role while working up to a long-term starting position.

Round 3
Felix Anudike-Uzomah – Edge
Profile: Highly athletic with bend on the edge, the 6’3 255 is a pass rush specialist. The Big 12 Defensive Play of the Year, he explodes off the ball and shows a wide variety of hand moves. He brings athleticism to the pass rush. He can bullrush with leverage, but his average bulk occasionally allows him to get knocked of his spot sometimes.
Analysis: Rashan Gary might not be ready to start the season as he recovers from a torn ACL and Preston Smith ain’t getting any younger. Kingsley Enagbare was a revelation last year as a Day 3 pick, but the unit needs more bodies. Anudike-Uzomah could get a lot of reps in training camp with Gary out and Smith resting, which could hasten his learning curve for early contributions.

Analysis The Packers could really add a fear factor to their offense with Quentin Johnson. Pairing him with Christian Watson could give Green Bay the most freakish pair of wide receivers they’ve ever had. On defense, Antonio Johnson could walk into the starting spot vacated by Adrian Amos, while Felix Anudike-Uzomah could surprise with an early bid for a starting job or at the every least player a rotational starter’s snaps.
